14 Bible Verses That Remind Us of God's Love

Valentine's Day is a day set aside for us to remind those closest to us that they are loved. While we receive gifts and expressions of sentiment, it is important to remember that there is no greater gift than that of which God gave us through his son, and no greater love than that of Christ Jesus. Here are 14 verses in the bible that send a reminder of God's love for us.

Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life

1 Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,  casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost

If you are without a "valentine" today, take the time to reflect on the love that has been given to you by others and by our Savior. Just as Christ loved the church, think of ways that you can pass on love to others.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The Queen.
